Insurance Coverage Policy
At AXIS Express Delivery, we understand the importance of reliability and security when it comes to shipping valuable items. Our comprehensive insurance policy is designed to safeguard both senders and recipients in the event of loss, damage, or non-delivery during transit. By selecting an insured shipping option, you ensure your shipment is financially protected in accordance with the terms outlined below.
1. Scope of Coverage
Lost or Undelivered Shipments
If a shipment is lost in transit or fails to reach its destination, AXIS Express Delivery will provide compensation based on the declared value and selected insurance coverage tier.
Damaged Shipments
Should a shipment arrive damaged due to mishandling during the delivery process, reimbursement will be issued in line with the declared value and chosen insurance level.
2. Coverage Tiers by Shipping Method
Shipping Method | Coverage Range |
---|---|
Standard Shipping | $200 – $45,000 |
Express Shipping | $300 – $50,000 |
International Shipping | $500 – $50,000 |
Important: All shipments must have a declared value at the time of dispatch to qualify for insurance coverage. Undeclared packages are not eligible for compensation.
3. Optional Insurance Upgrades
To enhance your coverage, optional insurance tiers are available at the time of checkout:
$5 – Coverage up to $5,000
$15 – Coverage up to $20,000
$25 – Coverage up to $50,000
Insurance premiums are determined by item value, shipping category, and destination.
4. Claims Process
To initiate a claim in the event of loss or damage, clients must adhere to the following procedure:
Step 1: Notification
Report the issue within three (3) business days of delivery (or the expected delivery date, in case of non-receipt).
Step 2: Documentation
Submit the following supporting documents:
Shipment tracking number
Proof of item value (e.g., invoice, receipt, or payment confirmation)
Photographic evidence of damage (if applicable)
Step 3: Review & Resolution
Claims are typically reviewed and processed within 5–7 business days. Once approved, reimbursement will be issued via your preferred method (e.g., bank transfer, store credit, or refund).
5. Coverage Exclusions
Insurance coverage does not apply to:
Shipments without a declared value
Damage resulting from inadequate packaging by the sender
Perishable items not properly labeled or preserved
Delays or confiscation by customs or third-party authorities
Events outside of our control (force majeure), including but not limited to natural disasters, political unrest, or war
6. Verification & Fraud Prevention
AXIS Express Delivery reserves the right to verify the authenticity of all insurance claims. Submitting fraudulent or misleading information will result in the denial of the claim and may lead to permanent account suspension or legal action.
7. Acknowledgment of Terms
By selecting an insured shipping option or purchasing additional insurance at checkout, you acknowledge and accept the terms and conditions of this insurance policy.
